The story of tea begins with the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung. It was 2737 BC when he enjoyed his first sip after a few leaves from a nearby tea bush fell innocently into the boiled water his servant was preparing. It was the birth of a legend!
Thousands of years later we found ourselves backpacking through Asia, sleeping under the stars, making friends with the locals and fighting off giant pandas left right and centre. On one particularly long excursion while walking in the humid heat with heavy rucksacks and next to no water, we happened upon a tea plantation. Learning about the intricate sciences involved in tea harvesting, we had our own eureka moment and Dhool was born.
Well only the first part of that is true, but it would have been a great story. The real story is simple.
We just love tea, all different kinds of tea, and we believe the best tea experiences should be available to everyone!
accessibility
We know that some tea can be really hard to find unless you have time to visit specialist shops, or scour the internet. That’s why we’ve sustainably sourced our teas from the exact same places that they buy from…. we just deliver it to your front door instead. No hassle needed.
convenience
There’s a reason why 96 million cups of tea are made with tea bags every day in the UK, and we weren’t going to argue with that. Proper tea, in a convenient tea bag. Nice.
sustainability
Our tea bags are plastic free and compostable and our mailer bags are made from recycled materials. Straightforward sustainability!
